Directions to the Munin

The Viking Ship Munin sails from Heritage Harbour, located in Vanier Park in front of the Maritime Museum in Vancouver's Kitsilano beach district on the south shore of English Bay near the mouth of False Creek.  If coming from Downtown Vancouver first go southwest across Burrard Bridge.  From Burrard St. go west on Cornwall Ave., then take a very quick right, which is Chestnut St. and go north to the Maritime Museum (the A-frame building near the shore with a tall totem pole in front of it).  Park in the pay lot ($1.25 per hour) at the Maritime Museum or find free parking in the large parking lot two blocks southeast.  From Granville Island to Heritage Harbour is a 20 minute walk, west along the seawall, starting at Granville Bridge and going under Burrard Bridge past the Coast Guard station.  Vanier Park is also home to the Planetarium (H. R. MacMillan Space Centre), the Vancouver Museum, Bard on the Beach (summer Shakespeare festival) and exotic kite fliers on weekends.
